Pain Treatment: Poor Posture Could Be Causing Your Discomfort

It is very important to have proper posture with your daily activities.  By performing activities, with improper posture, it places a lot of stress on your joints.  It is called the “creep response.”

Over time, pain may develop in your muscles and joints due do your improper posture.  When performing activities with your joints and muscles being out of proper position, it causes the body to work overtime.  In time, pain develops.

The next time you have pain from sitting at a computer or from doing your yardwork, take a look at your posture to see if it can help to improve your discomfort.   A physical therapist can properly instruct you on proper posture for your daily activities to help with your pain.
